About

What’s being Exto.rted?

Exto.rtion is a blog about food.  Cooking, eating, enjoying, ranting, or anything about food people have seen, eaten, touched, or desired.  We hope to experience new things, take ideas and try them, and put a spin on old items.  We love to try out new things and share what’s happened.  We also love to cook and eat.  It’s our goal to go out and try food and find recipes to make and share our thoughts and experiences.  We’ll do our best to provide the original sources for where we found the recipes or stole the food from, but we can’t make any guarantees (sorry).

I first started cooking when I finally decided to eat real food instead of the junk served in High School.  I didn’t like how it lacked flavor.  Since school was released at 2:15, I was able to wait until after school for lunch.  I would attempt to cook different things to munch on and enjoy.  My mother is Filipino and my father is American, so I was exposed to both of their very different cooking styles.  My mother cooked Asian or Hispanic, while my father was the rugged standard American cook.  When I cook, my specialty seems to be mainly desserts, but I’m willing to cook just about anything.  Although some of my friends think I should major in cooking or psychology, I am a Computer Science student at the Florida Institute of Technology.
